- Energy Suspension warrants its products against defects in workmanship and material for 24 months when used on passenger cars and light trucks. Products that have been abused, altered, or incorrectly installed are not covered. Energy Suspension will replace defective products or component parts, if inspection for factory personnel determines the part to be defective. Warranty replacement covers only the product. Labor claims, time loss, or freight charges will not be honored.

Energy Suspension's bump stops are simple but powerful things. Made of rugged Hyperflex polyurethane, these bump stops are designed to protect your suspension from serious impacts. Some vehicles come with bump stops pre-installed. However, these OE bump stops are usually made of rubber. While rubber is good for absorbing and re-directing impacts, it doesn't last long. Prone to cracking, rotting, and eventually falling away, rubber bump stops will end up leaving your suspension exposed. Hyperflex polyurethane, on the other hand, is extremely resistant to both road contaminants and physical wear. I just picked up a 69 VW type 1. I am doing a poor mans restoration. After doing all electrical, mechanical work I was ready to tackle things like the bump stops. I will have to say when I received them and looked at the size of the molded mounting hole and compared it to the on vehicle "mushrooms" I was not sure if what I had received was the correct part but surprise they were. \n\nThis is how I installed them, wire brushed and lubed the "mushrooms" with a water based lubricant the hole on the Bump Stop is molded at an extreme right angle, after fooling with that for a half hour, this is what I did (close your ears After Market) I chamfered the hole lubed as stated and "snap" Installed in about ten minutes.\n\nPlaced Bumper Stop on mushroom placed a huge socket that cupped the Bump on the top jacked the suspension up contacting the intended impact point of the Bumper and under pressure of the weight of the vehicle in about 45 seconds to a minute the Bumpers now chamfered hole slowly encompassed the mushroom. I dont think this is how the pros would do it, but that what I figured out.\n\nI searched the InterWeb for an hour the only "help" was to hit the Bump with a big hammer "nice" and a good way to lose an eye. \n
