Front Lower Control Arm Bushings 99-05 Celica | 88-07 Corolla
These polyurethane front lower control arm bushings will also replace the original rubber bushings on the 03-09 Prius and the 00-05 Rav4. As the original bushings wear down the alignment angles of your front wheels will change and cause uneven tire wear, steering wander, and reduce your traction during a turn.
Hollowed Out Control Arm Bushings
Rubber control arm bushings do a great job of absorbing vibration between the road and the cabin of your Toyota, but they do this by flexing and bending. Over time, as the rubber continually bends, it's shape changes during suspension movement and the bushing will begin to form gaps and hollow out. These gaps make the control arm loose and can cause changes in the alignment angles of the front wheels.
The Importance of Alignment
If the camber angle, or tilt, of your front wheels, is not held correctly then your tires are riding on their edge instead of flat against the road. Worked as expected and is a very nice replacement for the stock rubber bushings. Given these can be in an environment where oil (transmission oil) or grease, water, and salt can be present, the polyurethane type bushing is an excellent long-lasting choice.
