Off to a bad start?

I take it you've noticed your Miata is having trouble starting off the line? Maybe you hear banging from the rear end or you feel like your acceleration needs an overall boost? These issues can be fixed by replacing your worn out rear differential bushings with some new polyurethane bushings! Luckily for you, here at DST we have just the thing!

Laser-Fast Launch

This is Energy Suspension's 11.4101, a complete set of rear differential bushings for 1990 - 2005 Mazda Miatas. The old OE bushings are made using a soft rubber that stretches out over time, eventually cracking and rotting away. When this happens your rear differential won't work as efficiently and could be left loose to bang into other parts. The 11.4101 is crafted using Energy Suspenion's HyperFlex polyurethane, a much tougher material, ensuring that these bushings will hold up under any stress that your Miata's suspension or drivetrain will put on them. The 11.4101 will effectively lock down your rear differential, keeping it from damaging your vehicle and making your Miata launch even faster! Stocked right here in our Stephenville warehouse the 11.4101 is ready to ship the day you order it!

5 out of 5 based on 56 user reviews. Write a Review

I found the old bushings came out easy with the diff still under the car, still attached to the Power Plant Frame. An air hammer (or punch and hammer) drove the stock bushings out. Grease and C-clamp aided in the install. Took less than an hour start to finish. End result was less wheel hop and drive train slop.
5 out of 5 - Worth the effort.

Installation instructions were easy to follow. Felt the difference almost immediately. I was so impressed by the change the Differential Bushings made, I ordered the entire rear poly bushing set. Havent had a chance to install them yet, but hopefully very soon.

Did not for my mustache bar, pretty disappointed. Editors note: There are 2 mustache bars. The 7.1104 is for the 41mm bar and the w91614 will fit the 50mm bar. To insure fitment the customer will need to confirm which bar they have. \n
1 out of 5 - Wrong size
Timothy C. Agenbroad - . Energy Suspension 7.1104
Seems to have slight vibration. Editors Note: This is a poly urethane bushing. Poly bushings are stiffer than the OEM rubber. Where the rubber flexes the poly will not. The poly bushings will cause more NVH than the flexing rubber.

Bushings have held up great so far. No issues at all and that says a lot due to the nature of the type of driving the car sees on a routine basis. Primarily auto cross and road racing events. No wear at all on these bushings that I can see.

I installed these on my 76 280z and they fit exactly as they should. Rear of the car is a bit stiffer and the diff stays in place better. The bushings went in with ease. They also look alot better than the old worn out factory bushings. Id recommend this product to anybody replacing their s30s mustache bushings
5 out of 5 - Great product
Gage Kerr - . Energy Suspension 7.1102
they were .0400 too large to fit in the housing and I had to have them machined it cost me $100 I didnt want to send them back because they were the only thing holding me up to reinstall the differential and get the car back on the road for the RT66 cruise on 5/2
5 out of 5 - they look great after finally able to install
