If you have taken a hard turn in your Audi A3 or Volkswagen recently and noticed that your steering was less responsive and you kept heading toward the ditch, or oncoming traffic then the rubber bushings on your rear sway bar are probably shot. Wear, heat, and road grime are all factors that will cause rubber to degrade to the point of uselessness, reducing the grip on your sway bar.
