The body bushings that come factory made with older vehicles wear out way too fast for any driver. This Energy Suspension 3.4173 Body Mount Set with Hardware will help vehicles like the 1968-1970 Chevrolet Bel Air, Biscayne, Caprice, and Impala keep their frame and body together for many years, much better than anything rubber bushings can provide. Also, since these are made out of polyurethane, a stiffer material than rubber, they keep the ride height stable for the driver and last longer than any other rubber part.

The Life of Rubber Body Mounts

The rubber body mount bushings that hold the car together fall apart over the course of the vehicles life. When they break down, the frame starts to rattle and the body begins to sag where the mount bushings are worn, causing one side of the body to be seated higher than the other. This makes the doors, hood, and trunk harder to open and close shown by a larger gap in any of the areas mentioned before or causes misalignment between the front and rear of the vehicle's body, which can be indicated by the line running down the body of your Impala being crooked. A great way to prevent this from happening again is to get the bushings replaced as soon as possible.

Benefits of this Product

Using this Body Mount Set will provide many benefits that are better than what rubber can provide. Since these parts are made of polyurethane, their longevity will be better than original factory made parts. The driver won't have to replace these body mounts for the life of the vehicle. Also, these parts will increase the vehicles performance. They give a solid connection between the chassis and body causing more stability and a more 'connected' feel to the road. If you want these things because you're restoring one of the earlier listed cars as a track car, this could be a good part kit for you.

* This kit comes with two different sets of core supports. One that fits 68 models and one that fits 69-70 models. Be sure to consult the installation instructions to differ between the two.

Polyurethane VS Rubber

Replacing the normal factory bushings with the 3.4173 Body Mount Kit will ensure that these issues will not appear. We offer a lifetime warranty on all of our brand polyurethane parts. We expect the polyurethane to last the lifetime of the vehicle. It's a tougher and more secure alternative to rubber. Rubber may provide a smoother ride when driving the vehicle but if left unchecked will become rougher over time. Meanwhile, polyurethane is less flexible and more resilient to many issues that may deteriorate normal rubber like dirt, road chemicals, or dampness from a coastal climate.
