I understand the Red bushings are polyurethane and more rigid. Are the BLACK bushings the standard OEM durometer bushing? It's more of a highway vehicle and I prefer a smoother ride.

There is no difference when it comes to the stiffness between red or black Energy polyurethane bushings. When you install polyurthane bushings the ride of the vehicle will be stiffer. The ride will be like installing stiffer springs. If you are conce erned about the ride you would need to use Moog rubber bushings.
