Rear Shock Bushings - Nissan Skyline - w32985
Maintaining Your Control
When you drive over a bump your coil springs absorb the force of the impact, but like all springs, they'll start to bounce your vehicle around. Shocks are designed to keep this bouncing under control while still allowing the springs to do their job. The shock mount bushings are what connect the shock to the frame, giving the shock its ability to control the bounce while simultaneously helping to reduce any excess vibrations.
Whiteline Shock Mount Bushings
Most OE shock mount bushings are made of rubber. Rubber is decent at reducing road noise and vibration, but it doesn't hold up for long under the constantly changing pressure of your suspension. Whiteline crafts each of their shock mount bushings out of synthetic elastomer. This elastomer is much more durable than the OE rubber, easily capable of resisting variable pressures, physical wear, and road contamination. Plus, Whiteline covers all of their shock mount bushings with a lifetime warranty handled in-house here at DST.

starstarstarstarstar" They’re nice but need modification "
These are nice bushings, pretty much a press in the style of Energy Suspension. They do have a flaw though. The top 1/4 of the bushing needs to be cut off for the shocks to seat properly. There are 2 pins on each side of the shock mount that need the reliefs for them to fit down over the bushing. If you look at the Energy Suspension install PDF youll see what Im talking about. Not a big deal as you can cut this material off. Just make sure you are smarter than me and do it prior to installing the knuckle on the subframe.
