With an OTC (C-clamp type) bushing / ball joint press they were relatively easy to press in and out. The adapters I was using were not deep enough to drive the bushing completely out of the bushing holder bracket, but I was able to drive it 3/4 of the way out with the adapters I had and then I used an air hammer to blast it out the rest of the way. Once I had the old bushing removed, pressing in the new bushing was very easy with the OTC tool. Initially, I fitted the bushings to the control arms loosely. I kept them this way so that I could lower the vehicle and allow the suspension to fully settle in. I then slid under the chassis and tightened the 7/8" nut at the front face of the bushing as tight as I could get it; considering the awkward position. I then hoisted the vehicle in the air and tightened the nut the rest of the way with a box end wrench and a lengthy extension on the end of the wrench to get lots of torque on this nut. If you don't tighten this nut enough, the bushing will loosen the nut when the suspension compresses and returns. If the nut loosens, you'll get a knocking or rattling sound. I can't say if I notice that these bushings perform any better or worse than OEM. But, I can say that they are more durable and will last much longer than OEM. I feel as though the softer compound of the OEM bushings will absolutely break down faster than these bushings will. For me the gain was noticed in the overall durability and feeling confident that my bushings will never compromise ever again. Others might notice a difference in the performance of these bushings on a day-to-day basis. But I can't tell because I'm not racing this vehicle. For me this is just a daily driver. And I'm not sure why they say these are designed for track use only. They feel perfectly fine for normal daily driving. Yes, its more work to install these than a set of OEM that come with the brackets. But I rest assured that my additional efforts were worth it, because these bushings are indestructible.
