Energy Suspension polyurethane rear leaf spring bushings for the 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra will replace the original soft rubber bushings and hold the rear leaf springs and rear axle in a more stable alignment. If you're Tundra is having straight line tracking issues or you notice uneven wear on the rear tires then the rear leaf spring bushings could be loose which can cause misalignment of the rear axle.

Unreliable Rubber Bushings

The original rubber bushings flex and change shape to absorb vibration between the road and the frame of your truck, but over time the bumps and jolts of daily driving can make that shape change permeant and leave room for the rear leaf springs to shift. This can be accelerated in trucks that haul or tow heavy loads on the regular and major gaps can form between the bushing and the bolt or in some cases the bushing can break down completely and fall off.

Longevity and Durability

Polyurethane bushings do not flex to the extent that rubber will, so while they bend with suspension movement they do not permanently change shape and form a gap. Rubber bushings do isolate more vibration than poly bushings but do not provide the same stability and this only gets worse the longer those original bushings wear down. Poly bushings don't succumb to the punishment of suspension movement and stand up to the elements better than rubber, in fact, these bushings come with a lifetime warranty when you buy them through DST.

So, if you want more stable alignment from your rear axle and don't want to worry about the bushings on your leaf spring breaking down, then replacing the original rubber bushings with polyurethane from Energy Suspension is a solid option.
