DST’s Military Discount

branches-of-the-us-armed-forces

We Appreciate Our Troops

At DST we like to have some fun while we work. We feed chickens, pigs, and cows on our breaks and enjoy the smell of fresh cut hay while we jump on the trampoline. However, we do take a few things here very seriously: Our faith, our customer service, and our patriotism.

Concerning the latter, we love our country very much. And we are so thankful and proud of those who have served to help keep us free. You make it possible for us to have our little business in the middle of Texas. Because of this, we want to give a little bit back to those who have sacrificed so much. We have instituted a 10% military discount on all purchases made by military personnel, both past and present, active duty or reserve/guard. Now, we understand that a 10% discount will not change the world but, as a small company, we want to do what we can to say “Thank You”. This 10% discount can be used for any part you order; from a $3.00 grease pack, to a $3,000 suspension kit.

As a former Army Combat Medic, I understand your sacrifice, at least in part. From the long nights in Basic, to getting the call that your unit is being deployed. Being in the military can be both rewarding and frightening but, at least for me, it was an amazing privilege.

You may be asking “What do I need to do to qualify for this discount?”. Well, since you already volunteered to be a part of the greatest military in the world, you have already done the hard part. All you need to do now is to submit your name, MOS designation, and e-mail. That’s it. We will send you an e-mail reminder when the weeks are coming up so you don’t have to keep track of anything.

This discount comes around twice a year, but it will be easy to remember. It is the week before, up to and including, Memorial Day and the week before, again up to and including, Veterans Day. So, if you want to take advantage of this discount then please let us know and, when the time comes, we will make it happen.

For any inquires or questions please contact our Customer Service Team, or give us a call at 1-888-406-2330.

DST thanks you again for your service, and we hope you and your family have a safe and prosperous year!

– Dean Mason, 91B, DST Customer Service Team

I was browsing the site for some poly motor and transmission mounts when I stumbled upon your Mil page. I appreciate that you recognize service members for their sacrifice, and more so, appreciate your service as a 68W. Before my transition to the Air Force, I was an 11B with the 1/112th Infantry/56th Striker Brigade Combat Team under the 28th ID.

During my tour to the sandbox, our platoons medic was everyone’s closest friend, and for good reason. I wish more grunts would take an interest in higher level first aid and medical training but so few of us went through CLS training. Our Medic was great though, he would use his free time to keep everyone fresh on self aid and buddy care, when he wasn’t doing some ridiculous jig dance during squad gatherings haha. Medics are a huge asset to a unit and the individuals morale, so thank you for learning what so few venture into.

And what luck to be looking here the same week you offer this service!

    Thanks!

Thanks to all who have provided sevice to our country in one form or another! It was a pleasure to serve my country and fellow Americans. I was proudly part of the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Cambell, Ky. I was a 64C then redesignated as an 88M. I appreciate even more companies like Suspension.com and DST that offer discounts to military! Thanks again for your generosity!!!! Two big thumbs up!!! Spc Priebe

Thank you for your service, Robert!

What we do is so small in comparison to what you and yours have done for us. Be sure to give us a call if you need anything.

Thank you for your service and your continued support for other us veterans. I may have not served in the Marines, but I did volunteer 20 years of service to the Submarine community as Sonar Technician. Now as a student, utilizing my GI Bill to obtain my BS, I am looking to refresh my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse’s front end suspension. After her twenty-one years of hauling me across the country, she is in desperate need of everything under the chassis that deals with rubber.

    best,

I can appreciate the fact that they give 10% off to our troops but they are doing this for parts that they charge double price for. So they are saying they will only screw our troops with a 90% markup instead of 100%

      Hey Frank,

First, almost all the brands we sell have prices set by the manufacturer which are to be strictly adhered to by anyone selling their brand. Anyone not doing this isn’t playing by the rules and can be banned from selling parts from that manufacturer.

Second, it is possible to find listings for some of the parts we sell on Amazon or Ebay for less… because they are usually knock-offs or fell off the back of a truck somewhere. Buying these is a gamble, probably with no warranty and no recourse if the part won’t fit/work.

Third, you get what you pay for. We provide in-house customer service so when you call us you aren’t talking to someone following a script (if they have customer service at all). Our people are trained to be able to actually answer customer’s questions or find that answer quickly. We also own and manage our own warehouse so we are able to keep stock on hand to by-pass any delivery problems from other warehouses and have more control over how fast an order is shipped out. These are just some of the reasons we might be a little more expensive than some other options, but we would rather do it right than cut corners.

Thank you so much for your appreciation Frank! We appreciate your baseless accusations and uninformed opinions about our company!

God bless our veterans and you have a Merry Christmas!
