lock Warranty Information keyboard_arrow_down
Moog fulfills their warranty through their individual dealers. That means that in order to receive warranty support, you will have to refer back to the original dealer you purchased the part from. Be sure to check the dealer's warranty support before you buy the part to make sure that they will properly support the warranty. If a dealer will only refer you back to the manufacturer in order to receive warranty support, then you may not actually have any warranty at all.
Part of our warranty process includes reviewing evidence of the defect provided by the customer. This is easily accomplished by providing video or images of the defective part so our staff can verify the claim and move forward with the warranty process. This removes the necessity of shipping the part back to our facility at the customer's expense.

Front CV Axle Assembly | RAM 1500 2012-2021 | RAM 1500 Classic 2019-2020
What is an Axle Assembly?
The Front CV Axle Assembly (Moog-12h002) is part of the drivetrain that uses constant velocity axles to take power from the transmission to move the wheels. Moog offers an axle that is backed with premium materials with rigorous testing to deliver reliable performance for the Ram 1500 (2012-2021) or the Ram 1500 Classic (2019-2020).
Signs of Replacement
Recognizing a failing axle can include clicking or popping while turning or visible grease leaking from the axle boot onto the tire or axle. On lifted Ram 1500s, the connection between the axles and the intermediate shaft can strip splines that can cause a loss of power in transmission along with loud grinding or clicking noises. Addressing these symptoms early can help prevent further driveline damage and restore proper vehicle operation.
Restoring The RAM 1500
The Ram 1500 is a versatile light-duty pickup used for daily driving, work tasks, and towing. When replacing the axle assembly, drivers notice less noise, reduced vibration, and smoother steering. The Moog axle is engineered for long-term reliability, featuring heat-treated bearings and housings that help maintain its structure. The new axle also includes a durable neoprene boot that seals out moisture and debris, ensuring consistent performance even in harsh driving and weather conditions. Installing the axle helps restore towing and hauling performance, and ensures the drivetrain can safely handle rated loads.
Having Axle Problems?
If your truck feels unstable, sways while driving, or produces persistent noise while turning, it may be time to replace the CV axle. Moog's CV axle (12h002) is built for durability and dependable performance, helping restore smooth power delivery, improving steering control, and reducing future drivetrain wear. It's a reliable solution when looking to improve your Ram 1500 or 1500 Classic.
