HyperFlex Control Arm Bushings

A control arm bushing plays a vital role in a suspension. Replace that faulty O.E. rubber bushing with an Energy Suspension Hyperflex control arm bushing. These polyurethane bushing provide the longevity and performance needed to maximize a suspension's efficiency.

Energy Suspension's Hyperflex polyurethane is a firmer bushing than the O.E. Not only does this increase the longevity of the bushing, but gives the suspension a boost in handling performance. With a firmer bushing there will be a slight increase in NVH (noise, vibration and harshness), but most drivers prefer the boost in performance in spite of that.

Energy Suspension Control Arm Bushing

Energy Suspension Control Arm Bushing

The Faulty O.E.

As your suspension travels, a rubber control arm bushing is repeatedly stretching and flexing. After a while, the center sleeve begins to sag and your suspension alignment is throw out of whack. The sagging will go on until the rubber fails completely.

Be sure to use Formula 5

A control arm bushing rotates a lot against the metal shell, so make sure you grease it well with Energy Suspension's own Formula 5 Bushing Lubricant. Using plenty of grease is the best way to ensure a long lasting part without any squeaking. If you'd like some extra grease just in case, pick up an extra 3 pack or an 8 ounce tube.

5 out of 5 based on 219 user reviews. Write a Review

The bushings are great, but they require a little bit to be removed off of the cap for proper fitment. Control arm bushings are supposed to be free and only pinch up the center metal sleeve, not ride so tight on the outer surface. Install grease zerks if you would like to keep them noise free by lubing them every so often without removing the control arm.

Product Reviews for Energy Suspension Rear Control Arm Bushings

These were exactly what I needed. I had to use a sawzall to get the old pressed ones out. Easy fit just needed to use some of the lubes they came with.

SHAWN COE - . Energy Suspension 8.3133
Did their job! I had what I think was called wheel hop.. the rear end seem to bounce or wiggle when driving. Research online suggested these parts and after ordering the wrong parts from Autozone Online I found this suspension.com and they sent the Right Parts that did the trick!
5 out of 5 - Great Value
Orlando Braxton - . Energy Suspension 11.3104
They were straight forward to install and made a noticeable improvement over the stock rubber bushings would use these again if needed.
5 out of 5 - great part
Dylan Van Horn - . Energy Suspension 3.3132
Over all, nominal. Installation was as expected. Would be nice if Energy would offer to include the metal pieces for the C5. These cars are getting quite old now and are starting to wear these items. When replacing the bushings, just would be nice to have the option of ordering them from one source.
3 out of 5 - OK product. Only if you do not need any of the supporting metal bits.
Steve Smith - . Energy Suspension 3.3177
The bushings seem to be holding up well for a cruiser!

There is no how to videos for track bar installation, directions arent very descriptive. Editors note: The instructions would have been better if they were actual pictures of the suspension parts. Energy is working on making their instructions better. \n
5 out of 5 - Quality materials
Pete - . Energy Suspension 3.3194
My mechanic could get the factory bushings out without destroying the outer shell. Since the set does not include the outer shells, the set is useless for me. What not provide the outer shell? Editors Note: The outer shell is very hard to make. In some cases the shell will different dimensions in 1-3 different sizes so it will press into the component and stay.
1 out of 5 - Decent but why reuse existing outer shells?
Jeff Reynoldson - . Energy Suspension 3.3152
Perfect fit and well made.
5 out of 5 - Excellent
Bobby Tompkins - . Energy Suspension 8.3133
Very pleased with product.
5 out of 5 - Parts worked perfect
Michael Follmer - . Energy Suspension 16.3112
I purchased the red polys for my Z. Installation was challenging because of the nature of the Z itself, and not because of the product. They fit very snugly and are still pliant and beefy two years later. I am hard on the suspension components when I drive, as I believe less than 1G in the corners is for sissies ;-) The suspension is still just as tight as it was the day I installed them. I am very pleased and impressed with this brand and will purchase them again once they wear out
