Moog Problem Solver: Sway Bar End Links

Raising the bar

Moog's Problem Solver sway bar link kits have raised the bar for OE replacement links. Targeting the easily corroded traditional non-socket style links, Moog has engineered a new line of end links to enhance durability and performance. The entire line of Moog's Problem Solver end links are available right here at DST and include a lifetime warranty.

Original design and other supplier's flaws

The traditional non-socket style sway bar link that is installed factory on vehicles is highly susceptible to early failure. The OE design, as well as many aftermarket suppliers, uses a small diameter bolt on the sway bar link. This small size bolt opens up the link to the damaging effects of road shock and corrosion. If the smaller bolt isn't bad enough, these links utilize neoprene bushings that do not stand up well to stress and weather conditions. Many suppliers also use a rolled steel sleeve which can allow harmful contaminants in, leading to corrosion and early failure.

Moog problem solving features

Moog's problem solver parts target factory defects or poor original design, replacing them with a better more durable part. Moog's sway bar link set provides enhanced performance and increased durability. This new design includes polyurethane bushings. These polyurethane bushings are much more durable than the neoprene.

A black oxide 3/8" Grade 8 bolt provides increase strength and corrosion protection. Paired with a barrel nut that provides proper thread engagement, these "problem solving" end links are much easier to install. Nested washers are included to help keep the bushings centered during installation. The T6 aluminium hex spacer keeps contaminants out and is anodized to prevent corrosion.

Sway Bar End link Part Numbers

Moog has engineered several sizes of end links to cover numerous vehicles. While the length varies depending on the vehicle, all of Moog's Problem Solver sway bar end links include these problem solving features. These were easy to install. Put all pieces in place and followed instruction sheet. Pull and push on parts to make sure they are seated. Do a second push and pull to make sure they are tight. After many years of rubber bushings I am glad to have something easy to install.

Same as the other review for driver side link. But passenger side wasnt destroyed like driver side. But again it wasnt due to faulty parts moog makes great parts. It couldnt take the angle from the lift I put on my Frontier. If you have a stock truck this would work great. But if your putting it on a lifted truck spend the money and go with a helix style sway bar link. Moog lasted a lot longer then the ac/delco I had on before the Moog. Still highly recommend anything Moog!

Its a great part just not a great part for a lifted truck. Moog is high quality stuff it failed due to the angle from the lift. Had to go with a special made item. But it wasnt the parts fault for failing. Editors Note: Moog parts exceed the OEM manufacturers specs for their ball joints and tie rods. When you lift or lower a vehicle it can dramatically change the geometry of the steering and suspension. This will cause premature wear and even failure of the part.

Taking the factory links off was time consuming but with these replacements was less than half the time. The squared or hex sections made it easy to tighten down without moving. Being able to grease is a big plus. I would highly recommend.

I had been hearing a slight rumble in the front end of my 2011 Chevy Cruze, and did some research online. Several forums suggested the stabilizer or sway bar links as the culprit. What would make the engineers at GM believe that a part made of plastic, could survive or even function in a vehicles suspension, is a question lost for an answer. Even though the original links "looked" fine, I replaced them with the Moog parts. The difference is amazing. Not only is the rumble gone, but the handling is better than when the car was new, and feels much tighter on corners. I highly recommend these to all owners of cars with this suspension system, theyre well worth the price, and very easy to install.
