Rear Control Arm Bushings - Inner Position 2015-2017 Mustang GT, V6, EcoBoost
These Rear Control Arm Bushings fit the inner position of the Lateral Link and will replace the soft rubber bushings on your '15-'17 Mustang. By replacing the original rubber with polyurethane bushings the camber of your rear wheels will be more secure, giving you more traction during a turn and even wear along the rear tire's contact patch when cornering.
Camber and Control Arms
The lateral link rear control arm runs from the subframe to the rear knuckle and keeps the top of the tire from pushing in or out (Camber) when you take a turn at speed. While the original rubber bushings can absorb vibration from the road very well, you can't get the best handling out of your pony with them.
The pressure of turning causes those bushings to flex and bend and changes the camber angle of the rear wheels, which can cause the tire to ride on its edge instead of the full contact patch. This has an effect on your traction and can wear the outside edge of your rear tire out prematurely, meaning early tire replacements.
