Rear Control Arm Bushings - Outer Position 2015-2017 Mustang GT, V6, EcoBoost
These Rear Control Arm Bushings fit the outer position of the Lateral Link and will replace the soft rubber bushings on your '15-'17 Mustang. Stronger polyurethane bushings will do a better job holding the camber (or tilt) of your rear wheels, providing more contact patch during a turn and better traction and better tire wear while cornering.
Control Arm Bushings and Camber
The lateral link rear control arm runs from the subframe to the rear knuckle and keeps the top of the tire from pushing in or out when you take a turn at speed. The original rubber bushings absorb a lot of the vibration from the road but they don't allow your rear suspension to perform at it's highest potential.
As the bushings flex and bend when the pressure of turning is applied the camber angle of the rear wheels can change and cause the tire to ride on its edge instead of the full contact patch. This costs you traction and can wear the outside edge of the tire down at an accelerated rate, meaning early tire replacements.
Stiffer, But Comfortable, Suspension
