The 2015 Silverado 2500 HD 4WD uses independent front suspension with forged upper and lower control arms. Torsion bars do the job of front coil springs, running from the rear of each lower arm back to a key in a crossmember. CV axles drive the front wheels from a frame mounted differential. A center link ahead of the axle joins the pitman arm and the idler arm, with inner and outer tie rods at each end. The rear is a solid axle on leaf springs with staggered shocks, one ahead of the axle and one behind it.

We carry replacement parts for 34 of the 47 components on this diagram, 90 parts in all. See every part for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 4WD.

Questions about the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 4WD suspension

What are the most common front end wear items on a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD?

The idler arm and the tie rod ends carry a lot of load on a heavy truck, and the lower ball joints take the weight of the front end. Regular and double cab trucks can also wear the rubber bushing in the center link at the pitman arm. Check them with the wheels off the ground, and feel for play by hand.

Does the 2015 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 have coil springs?

No. The front springs are torsion bars, and the rear springs are leaf springs.

How do I level the front of a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD?

The front ride height is set by the bolt under each torsion bar key, and adjustable keys add more range. Use a torsion bar load tool to take the pressure off, keep both sides even, and get an alignment afterward.

Do crew cab and double cab trucks use the same center link?

No. Regular and double cab trucks use a center link with a rubber bushing at the pitman arm, and crew cab trucks use a different link. They are the same length, so match the part to your cab.

Which years share this suspension?

The front arms, ball joints, tie rods, shocks and hubs are shared by the 2011 to 2019 Silverado and Sierra 2500 HD 4WD. The body changed for 2015, and the 2020 truck is a new design. Parts can still change by cab and options, so the parts shown here are the ones listed for the 2015 4WD truck.
